William Allen Dodson, III, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away June 4, 2018, at his home after complications from a long illness.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 21, 1953, son of the late William Dodson, Jr., and Joann Dodson. He is survived by his wife, Vonda Kay Dodson, married June 18, 1977; and his children, William Allen Dodson IV, Misty Ann Dodson, Jonathan Franklin Dodson, and Matthew Joseph Dodson.
He was a much-loved grandfather to ten grandchildren, Kandice Campbell, Chelsy Lynn Dodson, William Dodson V, Makala Dodson, Caleb Matthew Dodson, Jonathan Franklin Dodson, Aubrey Francis Dodson, Isaha Wayne Dodson, Tessa Nicole Dodson, and Zane Apgar.
William (Billy) Dodson was the brother of 13 brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janie. His surviving siblings are Judy, Tammy, April, Kay, Sue, Tina, Allen, Chris, Steve, Ronnie, Kenny, and Tommy.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until noon, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. A funeral service will then be held from noon until 1:00 p.m.
